Hi Christian , It will probably be the lens. KSS-165A lens. This is a very good sounding player. I have one too
After several years of not beeing in use my Discman D-250 stopped playing. The disc started spinning but then stopped and shutdown after a few seconds. I opened the player (screws are clearly marked with arrows) and noticed that the lens head was not moving when I played a CD. I turned the lens head gear screw manually (when the player was powered off) and sprayed some CRC 5-56 on the gear mechanism. After this it started to work perfectly again!
why sony does not put back the manufactoring for HOME MINIDISC RECORDER ES LINE?. Many people like this famous machine. I belive whit good marketing work this machines get recussitate. neto_godofredo@yahoo.com
